Mentis Clinic USA was founded to provide compassionate, evidence-based neurodivergence care, empowering individuals to thrive. As the sister clinic to Mentis Clinic UK, our origins are rooted in both expertise and personal experience, thanks to Dr. Faisal Shaikh, FRCPsych—a British-trained psychiatrist with over 24 years of clinical practice specializing in Adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

A Story Rooted in Experience and Compassion

For Dr. Shaikh, neurodivergence is more than a professional focus—it’s personal. As a father of three, two of whom have moderate to severe Autism and ADHD, he understands the challenges firsthand.

His journey led to the creation of Mentis Clinic UK in 2022, guided by three principles:

Building on that success, he partnered with Dr. Catherine Samuel-Ojo, a skilled mental health practitioner licensed across multiple U.S. states, who specializes in ADHD support for young adults. Together, they launched Mentis Clinic USA, bringing the same patient-centered approach to the U.S.

Nurse Practitioner

Monica Jeffers completed the family nurse practitioner program at University of Phoenix in 2012. Her interests are in patient’s optimal health, with a focus on neurodivergent conditions. She has worked in primary care, urgent care, as well as telehealth throughout her career. Monica has lived in the Phoenix metropolitan area for over 40 years and enjoys spending time at home with family and friends.
